Time to get to work to save your Skipperliner!!!
Rust will not be denied
During our lawsuit with Skipperliner and depositions with their expert witness who stated that putting insulation under the floor would trap moisture and cause corrosion. Improper construction. I think the photos speak volumes to this. Surface prep of metal seems to be one of Skipperliner's worst construction faults because it is so hard to repair. We have already done the fore and aft outer decks by grinding down to bare steel now we have to start the laborious and destructive and costly process of saving the interior hull from poor metal prep not to mention the flooding issues from the underwater thru hull fittings(different story).
If you have a Skipperliner, it is never too early to start saving your hull. Slapping some pretty plywood veneer over the top of a disaster is not excusable. To my best knowledge, all of the issues were created by poor boat building practices still being used by Skipperliner today. |
